Alejandro’s second travel assignment has been the best

When you’ve been working in healthcare for close to a decade, you have a good idea of what you ideally like to see in a hospital or facility, how to work on a team, and what tends to suit you best. Alejandro, a traveler on the Allied Health side, is an MRI Technologist in the Atlanta area and on his second travel assignment. Finding the right position with balance is the key, so we wanted to hear a little about what has made this assignment different from previous ones.

I’ve been at this since 2015 and I just started with Spire back in mid-March.

The process has been very smooth and positive. I had completed a travel assignment a few years back and I was checking out roles with Spire after hearing about them. I connected with my recruiter, Ryan, shortly after that and hit the ground running. I connect really well with him and appreciate how helpful he was with onboarding and made sure I had everything I needed before starting. Everything really fell into place.

I’m the only traveler at my facility right now, but I had experience with the team previously from a different role.

I have a great relationship with the staff — it’s honestly like I never left! I left on a good note, so coming back as for this travel assignment was fantastic. I was so excited to have a lot of friends in place when I started. It’s a very busy facility, too — pretty much full every day during my shifts but the workflow is great and we all work together really well. The fact that I’m a traveler doesn’t even come up! I’ve work in plenty of places where there is a lot of division, but I’m thankful to not have experienced that here. I’m actually in the process of extending my contract!

I’d recommend traveling to anyone.

If you can work anywhere that you can be a part of a team, it’s great. I’ve even convinced one of my friends to come along with me and he is traveling with Spire, too! It really all comes down to working in a great facility — and this one is fantastic. You have to give it a chance, though, and see enough time to make sure it fits your needs. I’m glad I have a team who cares about me and constantly provide a place I enjoy working.

If Alejandro’s story is inspiring you to take hold of your career, travel, or explore a similar assignment in the Atlanta area, we’d love to chat!
